Easy Ricotta Lasagna

This overnight ricotta lasagna is made easy with a few shortcuts, like (gasp!) not cooking the pasta ahead of time.
- 2 pounds ground beef, browned and drained
- 2 (24 oz) glasses of prepared pasta sauce or 6 cups of homemade pasta sauce
- 1 cup of water
- 1 container (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning (or an equal mix of dried basil, dried oregano, and thyme leaves)
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 package (16 ounces) uncooked lasagna noodles
- 4 cups grated mozzarella cheese
1. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a large skillet, combine pasta sauce and ground beef. Bring to a simmer and heat.
3. In a medium bowl, mix together ricotta, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Shake well.
4. Pour about 1 cup sauce into the skillet. Add the water and mix with a spoon or fork.
5. Add a layer of lasagna pasta. Don't overlap them as the noodles will expand overnight.
