Pampanga is not only known for many things like the famous Mount Pinatubo, its festivals and tourist attractions, but also for Pampanga food. As you know, our hometown of Angeles (actually Rachel's home) is in the Philippines, in the province of Pampanga.

15 BEST PAMPANGESAN FOODS AND DELICIES
1. CAMARU CUCUMBERS
This Pampanga (or Kapampangan) dish is not for the faint of heart. The adobong camaru is made from crickets (yes, the insect!) cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic and onion. You must try this once in your life.
2. ALIGUE
Aligue, or crab fat, is a delicious and versatile delicacy from Pampanga that Filipinos love. It's so versatile that you can use it for plain rice, ingredients for other dishes, or sauce. In Pampanga it is becoming famous as a paste (crab paste) that can be bought from PHP 120 a pot.
3. BÜNO
Another exotic food from Pampanga is the stuffed frog or stuffed frog. Fried frog legs are common in many cuisines, but in Pampanga, a whole frog is stuffed with ground meat and then fried. Would you like to try this?
4. BOPIS
Bopis are popular not only in Pampanga but throughout the Philippines. It is a savory dish made with pork lungs and heart, vinegar, soy sauce, carrots, onions, garlic and pepper.
The Bopis in Pampanga version uses the aforementioned ingredients, except the pork heart. This pampanga food is very popularmel,or eaten with a cold bottle of beer.
5. TRAE
Bringhe is quite similar to paella. It is a pampango meal that uses glutinous rice (sometimes mixed in equal parts with regular rice) and its flavor is enhanced with local chicken, ginger, coconut milk and some spices. It is topped with slices of boiled eggs and peppers. In fact, bringhe is a delicious main course that you cannot miss in Pampanga!

6. BULLANG KAMPANGÁN
This dish is similar to sinigang (sour soup), but Bulanglang Kapampangan uses guava to give it its sour flavor. Its other ingredients are also the same as sinigang, but it has a different smell and taste due to the taste of guava. Bulanglang Kapampangan is delicious and perfect for a rainy day.
7. CALDERETANG GOAT
Kaldereta is a stew with a thick, rich sauce. Although beef is the usual meat in Kaldereta, the Kapampangans like to use it.Goator goat meat as a tastier option. This pampanga meal is definitely a must-try experience!
8. MORCON KAMPANGAN
Morcon or Murcon is in fact one of the most popular Pampanga dishes known in the Philippines. It is a special dish that is always served at meetings because it looks so good on the table. Similar to a meatloaf or meatloaf, Morcon Kapampangan uses ingredients such as ground meat (pork and beef), chorizo, cheese, raisins, onions and eggs.

Okoy or ukoy are crispy fried dumplings made with small shrimp, vegetables, green papaya and sticky rice dough. There are many variations of this dish. Some even use other shellfish or larger shrimp to make it tastier.

Paco Salat,nail salad, or Fiddlehead Fern Salad, is a common appetizer served in Pampanga restaurants. It will soothe your stomach with its tasty ingredients such as ferns (the right and edible ones), tomatoes, onions and salted eggs. It is usually seasoned with salt and pepper and seasoned with vinegar. Crispy and delicious!
11. Pollination
We love this pasta dish so much! It consists of thin noodles and rich orange sauce, with boiled egg slices, chives and chopped onion.chicharon(fried pork skin). Sometimes covered with gratedcooked(Smoked fish).
12. PALDEOT (CHICKEN ASS)
Have you ever tried a grilled chicken breast? If not, then you must try Pampanga! This delicious snack has a smoky and very delicate flavor. You have to try! You won't even know it's a chicken butt ha! Kapampangans like to eat this with a cold bottle of beer.
13. Panama
Panara is quite similar to an empanada, but instead of ground beef, this crescent-shaped pastry is filled with mung bean sprouts and shrimp. This crunchy snack is often served with vinegar as a dipping sauce.
14. SCREAMING
Sisig is definitely one of the best Pampanga dishes you must try. There are many variations of this authentic dish, but it is usually made with sliced pork ears and head mixed with fried onions and peppers. It's served on a sizzling plate with rice and calamansi (or the local lime).
15. SPECK
Bacon is a classic local dish, usually eaten for breakfast and is one of the famous meals in Pampanga. It is a dish made from pork meat that is processed and mixed with flavorings like sugar and then soaked/marinated for some time. When cooked, it is sweet and delicious.
In fact, it's Rachel's favorite! Today, this dish also comes in chicken and beef variants, although pork bacon is still the best known.
